Country: Eight African countries: Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe

Donor: UNIDO, African Development Bank, AFAWA (Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa)

Goal: This programme aims to increase women’s participation and success in online business, preparing them to capitalize on new opportunities intra-Africa and globally. It enhances their market access through building knowledge, capacity and skills in digital channels for success in online business.

Activities: To develop and deliver an E-marketing to E-commerce instructor-led on-line training curriculum for 90 women entrepreneurs, covering topics from e-commerce business models to practical actions they can take to improve their digital presence and stand out online.

Results: The programme started in February 2023. The delegates are already increasing their digital skills and knowledge, building self-sufficiency and improved e-commerce capabilities to grow their online sales. They understood how to start, grow and scale an e-commerce business.
